Council for a Secure America Roundtable Event at UNGA
Manama, Sept. 25 (BNA): Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Bahraini Ambassador to the USA, and the Council for a Secure America (CSA) participated in a roundtable session at the 78th UN General Assembly.
The two sides discussed a number of challenges, opportunities, and ways to deal with them efficiently.
The ambassador affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to openness in foreign policies and international relations, citing the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He praised the deep and strategic Bahraini-American partnership and expressed pride in the ongoing cooperation, especially in regional security and stability.
The ambassador emphasized the strong bilateral relations, highlighting the recent signing of agreements such as the Joint Defense Cooperation Agreement, Free Trade Agreement, and Comprehensive Agreement for Security Integration and Prosperity, recently signed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The council emphasized the importance of strong bilateral relations, as well as the role of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain. They praised Bahrain’s significant contribution to enhancing trade, and economic cooperation and consolidating security and peace in the Middle East.
